People have asked for pictures of "the" wedding. So here ya go. Let me preface this by saying....formal tuxes @ 2pm (that alone is sorta funny to me) but combined with tie dyed dresses was not what I considered to be a good combination. Interesting to say the least. Once I saw the guys in person and the dresses on the girls it looked much better than I had envisioned. I still think khaki pants and white dress shirts would have been fine for the guys. For heavens sake the girls were BAREFOOT!!! Anyways it wasn't my wedding & it wasn't a wedding I had anything to do with professionally. So there ya go. Did I mention that I've decided that Bishop Kim was amazingly patient, funny & a just all around nice guy. He did an awesome job!
The bride got her hippie, Santa Cruz'esque feel. The groom got his formality. It ended up turning out really well. Enjoy....

I will have to check if you answered my question, but did they do their dresses themselves or did a professional tie dyer do them? They all came out the same brightness and color so I assume they were done by the same person. The casual/formal mix doesn't make too much sense to me but like you said it wasn't my wedding and to each his own. But I do agree that it's a shame the men had to spend so much money to rent a tux that they don't get to keep only to be standing next to a girl that probably spent a total of $40-50 on her dress & may wear it again. I think Jesse needs to buy a tux with all the weddings he seems to be in or involved in. Can't he also marry people? It would be a good investment :)
ReplyDeleteplus he fixes up so nice :-)
ReplyDelete2 or 3 of the girls got together with the bride and then did all the tie dying all at once. They did all those dresses, plus all the table squares, her dress and both moms dresses.
ReplyDeleteThe tux thing we've thought about and its not that practical. Jesse owns 2 really nice suits for church, dates & attending or working at weddings. He needs 1-2 more at some point for some color differences. Unfortunately its not cost effective to have a tux hanging in the closet when each bride or groom picks a totally different style.
