Dancing in the Dark

Dear Brides & Grooms-

When planning the playlist with your DJ or band, please use some common sense. Although you may LOVE folk music its not everybody else's favorite. Plus its not that great to dance to...umm, in 2010. Its sorta risky to have a live folk band at a wedding. I know they can play cover songs and stuff, but really?

I've been in the wedding industry now for almost 14 years now. Pretty insane right? Let me just say that its not that hard to find a Top 200 List online.

We recently attended 2 weddings. For about a month prior to one, the groom sent out requests on Facebook asking for us to suggest for reception songs. Nice. Truly that was a great mix of music.

This past wedding. Not so thrilled about the choice of music that was played. It stunk...for dancings sake. I didn't get to dance with my husband a single time! Sorry folks, but my hubby is a slow song dancer only. I used to shake my thing, but I have this thing with wanting to be able to dance with my hubby.

I was disappointed to say the least. Please people, please....a slow song for the old folks.
Then get down with your bad self and play some funky music white boy!
