Plus Sized

I was clicking on some links and looking at some cute dresses the other day. This site, which is known for modest dresses has some gorgeous things. A lot of it is still a bit too short for my taste, to be honest. However I decided to peruse their website and look at pretty much everything. They have a plus sized section. The link above takes you to the plus sized offerings.

After browsing I need to get this off my chest....If you are going to offer PLUS SIZED clothing then get PLUS SIZED models. This is ridiculous. Just because you make something for a size 8 doesn't mean its going to look the same on a size 18. Let them both model it!!! Maybe if for just once I could see clothing on a woman my size I might be convinced to buy it.

I had a revelation a while back while wandering through Forever 21 also. I saw a "Plus Sized" sign up on a wall and wandered over to check it out. Their sizes? XL=11/12, 1X=13/14, 2X=15/16. Really??? Thats insane!!! And we all wonder why anorexia & bulimia are on the rise with teenagers...yikes. So despite the size of the average American going up the size of clothing keeps going down. That makes sense!!!

On another note....back a while ago I bought a bunch of patterns for $0.99. Yeah 99 cents per pattern! I'm about to dive back into sewing this coming week. Yay!!!
